As any performer gets older, they lose their magic. But Meatloaf's commercial.. even though it was hokey with his kids.. still proves he has something left.

Quite possibly the greatest live performance of any song, ever!

This is a reply to sheepdog48. Check my favorites or search on "aputey 78" for videos of Karla and Meat singing this song live.

I could have written this song many years ago...with my life experiences. Many guys have this memory, I'm sure..hahaha.
Yep..have seen many of things "under the dash board lights" in my time.
How many of us have been with our "current love interest" in the car and heard these same words?
When the harmones are ragings, well we might say anything...right?

Take this with a gain of salt but there are 2 sources within Wikipedia that claim Karla DeVito was lip syncing to Ellen Foley. Karla was picked for the 'Bat out of Hell' tour in large part because of her theater experience. I know Karla could sing in her own right. Among other credits she replaced Linda Ronstadt in 'The Pirates of Penzance'. She married her love interest, Robby Benson (yes that Robby Benson), from that musical in 1982 and are still married and had 2 kids.

Ellen Foley did indeed sing the female lead in this song. She was NOT however replaced by Carla on the clip because she "has bigger tits" as boretti so eloquently put it. Fact is Ellen had a family at the time and decided it best to stay at home rather than tour. Meat Loaf continued on with Carla and the clip is from one of his live gigs.
